As reported by Baquia on its web page, Twitter has just presented Earlybird, a service that will provide alerts on promotions and offers created exclusively for account followers by associate businesses.
It looks like it will be a complete success, judging by the fact that 12 hours after getting underway it already had 10,000 followers, although it has not yet published any offers. Some of the offers will include consumer goods or events, such as travel or concerts.
Offers will be active for a limited time, and the vendors will be responsible for setting the prices and the amount of time during which they will be valid.
For now, the service will only be available for the United States, although Twitter also plans to extend the service to other countries in the future.
