Shop.org Launches Think Tank to Study Ecommerce Trends

ForeSee Results and Shop.org are creating a Think Tank to study ecommerce and cross-channel retail and to solve some of the industry's important issues. Shop.org is the ecommerce arm of the National Retail Federation, the world's largest retail trade association.

Potential topics for the Shop.org Think Tank to study include how retailers should prepare for the future of retail over the next 5, 10 and 15 years; how retailers can navigate through new business models such as private sale sites, deal-of-the-day sites, community buying, social shopping, mobile commerce, gaming mechanics, mass customization, GPS-based, etc.; cross-channel strategies; and how should retailers should use and benefit from social media.

Shop.org is soliciting applications for membership into the inaugural Shop.org Think Tank, due by August 13, 2010. More information is available on the Shop.org website.
