The Colombian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CCCE) came about from the will and commitment of several entities and individuals who look out for the interests of e-Commerce development in Colombia and the regions. It was established to spread and promote the use and development of new information and communication technologies applied to commerce and electronic business.
Current Chairman Alberto Pardo said that the objectives set for this year include the start of the education and training series, organizing the Latin American e-Commerce Congress and developing and spreading a sector impact study and index, among others. CCCE Vice Chairman and MercadoLibre General Manager Ignacio Caride stressed the importance of "working to ensure that electronic commerce continues to generate income, employment and well-being for more people each day, making it an effective tool for the social and economic development of the country".
Some of the active members in the CCCE include: Bea Digital, MercadoLibre, Falabella, Deloitte, Pagos online, Decameron, Dridco, ACH, among other private companies that seek to contribute to promoting Electronic Commerce.
"We invite companies that want to develop and take advantage of the benefits of e-commerce to join the CCCE, in order to receive advice and support in increasing their competitiveness through e-Commerce as an additional strategic channel in their business", said Ignacio Caride.
