eCommerce has focused heavily on the Facebook "like" application recently, which allows buyers to share content they are interested in with their friends. According to Multichannel Merchant, 55% of retailers are planning to add more social tools in 2010.

The report on the use of Facebook for social eCommerce produced by SeeWhy shows a clear increase in the use of the "like" application, to the detriment of the so-called "login with faces".

Some of the leading uses of Facebook for social eCommerce by sellers in June 2010 include driving online traffic to their own websites instead of building their own eCommerce applications.
